Private flight to private wilderness

Charter flight company Jetflite offers flights to Rovaniemi in Lapland to touch the private wilderness of a lifetime. Destination is Octola, which is the perfect escape for those looking to immerse in nature in absolute privacy and comfort. This ultra-luxury cabin residence is set in the middle of 300 hectares of private wilderness within the Arctic Circle and has all the right ingredients for an unforgettable experience. Northern Lights are visible eight months in a year starting from August and lasting until April and you can enjoy of them from your rooms with glass ceiling walls.

Octola Private Wilderness is an ultra-luxurious 10 suite log cabin and brand new two bedrooms super suite Villa. Whether you book the entire cabin of 10 suites or take a wing of six or four suites, or two bedrooms super suite Villa, the rates are all-inclusive including a private gym and fitness centre, unique hand-carved wood-burning sauna, exclusive and private log-wood bar & BBQ cabin and the freshest food cooked to your liking, private butler and a wilderness guide.

The food is all sourced locally and consisting mainly of wild plants, berries, mushrooms and fish, all local, pure and ecologically gathered from nature to the table by a Michelin star Chef complemented by wines chosen by one of the top sommeliers in Finland.

Järvisydän Kota-hotel will be completed for the Christmas season 2020

Hotel & Spa Resort Järvisydän, in the heart of Finnish Lakeland, announces the launch of its new Kotahotel, offering visitors a new and exciting accommodation concept. Located by Lake Saimaa, the Kotahotel comprises three mini hotels, each featuring a spacious Kotalounge with a fireplace for visitors to relax and enjoy the ambient sounds of nature. Seven high quality Kota Suites are enclosed in an architecturally unique Kota. The hotel consists of three Kotas, featuring a total of 21 new hotel rooms, accommodating 48 guests. This new entirety will offer all of the amenities and outdoor activities currently available to guests of the resort.

The ever-changing seasons of Finnish Lakeland create the perfect setting for ice and snow adventures in winter, and abundant water activities in the labyrinthine waters of Lake Saimaa from early spring to late autumn. Small hotel type Kotas facilitate the perfect ambiance of privacy. Ecology and sustainability are paramount to both the building process and operation of the hotel, adhering to the ecological standards set by Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Wild Nordic Finland opens at Bomba in North Karelia

Wild Nordic Finland DMC will expand its own activity production to Lakeland by opening a new safari house in Kalevanhovi building at Bomba in North Karelia on the 23rd of December 2020.
Finnish Lakeland is the largest lake area in Europe with some of the cleanest lakes in the world. Along with beautiful forest landscapes and rolling hills it gives you spectacular scenery to admire throughout your stay. All this added with quality and unique accommodation, restaurants and cultural sights, Lakeland offers a great destination for you to enjoy.

During the winter season 2020-2021 there will be a weekly program available consisting of various guided activities like snowmobile and husky safaris, ice fishing programs and a mini snowmobile track for children. Lapland Hotels Arena opens in Tampere in December 2021

Lapland Hotels opens its 19th hotel and fifth city hotel in Tampere. Lapland Hotels Arena focuses not only on hotel services but also on providing event and meeting services in connection with the UROS LIVE Arena of 15,000 seats. Lapland Hotels Arena’s specialty is the Arena View rooms from which the events of the UROS LIVE Arena can be enjoyed from the room’s own balcony. With the new hotel, Lapland Hotels operates two hotels in Tampere.

The Lapland Hotels Arena with 273 hotel rooms will open in December 2021. The hotel will be located on floors 4–12 of the UROS LIVE Arena. Arena View rooms with a view over the UROS LIVE Arena. There are two types of rooms with a view: hotel rooms and rooms suitable for meetings and conferences. Four meeting and banquet rooms that can cater for various events of up to 300 guests. There is a restaurant and bar for over 250 people.

Solo Sokos Hotel Lahden Seurahuone is expanding

The awarded hotel in Lahti city centre is expanding to top floor. Lahti situates in Lakeland region only an hour from Helsinki international airport. There will be 50 new rooms of which 15 will be LOFT rooms. New stylish rooms will be larger and higher, and 15 of them are located on two floors. Interior architect Jaakko Puro designed the individual deluxe interiors. The rooms in the extension section are a combination of rustic, harmonious and modern qualities. The bathroom fixtures are made of composite wood – a Finnish innovation with material from Finnish forests.

In addition, an interior garden with skylight windows is built and some of the rooms next to the garden will have their own terrace. This is expected to be ready in early 2021. Solo Sokos Hotel Lahden Seurahuone is one of the environmental certificated hotels in Lahti. Hotel has a Green Key certificate. It is also the first hotel in Finland having photo catalysis – an active self-disinfecting coating solution on all the surfaces.

Tallink Silja encourages to step on board and travel responsibly

The label is awarded for active companies in the Finnish tourism sector as well as for the Finnish tourist regions. Tallink Silja fully meets the economic, ecological, social as well as cultural sustainability criteria set by Visit Finland.

The Finnish travel industry and travel regions who were granted the label have pledged to work together to make travel more sustainable. Every organisation has fulfilled the uniform set of criteria, put together a sustainable travel action plan, and taken part in training.
