Visit Finland's Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) program helps event planners make their events more sustainable

27.5.2024

Imagine hosting your next event in a country where sustainability isn't just a trend, it's a way of life. In Finland, untouched natural beauty is deeply ingrained in our culture, and protecting it is a top priority. This respect for the environment translates into a commitment to responsible meetings and events.

Through the forward-thinking Sustainable Travel Finland (STF) program, Visit Finland empowers the travel and meetings industry to embrace sustainable practices. This program isn't just about lofty goals; it provides businesses with a concrete toolkit - a roadmap for integrating sustainable choices seamlessly into everyday operations.

The Sustainable Travel Finland label signifies a venue or supplier's dedication to responsible practices. This label assures you that your event will minimize environmental impact, leaving a positive footprint on this exquisite landscape.

By choosing an STF-certified venue for your next event, you're not just making a business decision; you're making a statement about your own values. You're aligning yourself with a community that prioritizes the health of the planet, ensuring a truly inspiring experience for you and your attendees.

Some examples of venues and suppliers that have already been granted the label by May 2024 are listed below.

Finland Convention Bureau is a supporter of the Net Zero Carbon Events, an industry initiative to address climate change.
