Hotel Ilves originally became a part of the national landscape on the shores of Tammerkoski in 1986. When it was opened, it was Finland’s tallest hotel, and it rapidly became one of the most popular hotels in the country. Finns and international guests alike enjoyed their time at Ilves, and the hotel’s restaurants became the legendary centre for Tampere’s evening and night life.

Now, the Ilves renovation project is finished. The hotel rooms have been renovated with new surface materials, bathroom surfaces and furnishing, windows and balcony doors, and heating and cooling systems. Additionally, the electrical systems, lighting, and automation have been modernised.

The largest conference room, Ballroom, provides space for events of up to 450 people, depending on the type of event. The room’s eye-catching centrepieces are its gorgeous Italian crystal chandeliers. The modern technology and fully renovated facilities guarantee a high-quality event. The Ballroom can also be divided into three sections. This versatility makes it equally suitable for cocktail events and dinners.

The Maisema cabinet on the 19th floor provides a fantastic view over the city of Tampere. The cabinet’s location is unparalleled, especially when there are events in the city: after all, the view from the cabinet stretches all the way to Ratina Stadium. The cabinet is bright and divided into two parts: one side has the sauna and dressing rooms, while the other is a beautifully furnished meeting and conference space. The Maisema cabinet is ideal for events of 20 people.
